Massimo Giacon

An alien figure yet not alienated from the world of creativity, Giacon works for over 40 years suspended between his diverse activities of comic strip artist, illustrator, designer, artist and musician. Starting in the ’80s, he stands as one of the protagonists of the Italian comic strip renovation from magazines such as Frigidaire, Alter, Dolce Vita, Cyborg and Nova Express, and starts collaborating with Ettore Sottsass in 1985, continuing his work with Matteo Thun, Studio Mendini, Sieger Design and projects for other firms among which Olivetti, Memphis, Artemide, Alessi, Swatch, Philips, Ritzenhoff, Telecom. Today he keeps designing and producing various items for Alessi, draws comic strips for Linus while following his musical and artistic activities. In 1990 he starts an artistic activity which will bring to life personal and collective exhibitions in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Slovenia, New York, Los Angeles, Korea, Hong Kong, Moscow, Montreal, Athens and Lisbon. He has been teaching Comic strip language for over 20 years at the Istituto Europeo di Design of Milan.
