Born in Rome on 20 December 1962. In 1980 Corrado Mastantuono graduates at the Istituto Nazionale per la Cinematografia e la Televisione as a cartoon designer, an activity that shapes him professionally up to 1989. In 1990 he makes his debut on issue n. 92 of the Eternauta magazine which, together with the other publication from the same publisher, Comic Art, marks his entrance into the world of comic strips. In the same year he makes his first appearance on issue 1805 of Topolino and, thanks to his collaboration with Walt Disney, he conquers the pages of “Minni & company”, “Giovani Marmotte”, “PK”, “MM”. In 1997, with the “Paperino e la macchina della conoscenza” (Donald Duck and the knowledge machine), he brings to life the Bum Bum Ghigno character. In 1993 he starts working as illustrator for publisher Bonelli on the stories and covers for “Nick Raider”, “Magico Vento” and “Deadwood Dick”. With the special issue n. 21, “Il Profeta Walpai”, he works on the historical Tex. He is a complete author of Klon which is published in 2016. Among his many awards are the prestigious Yellow Kid in 2001 and the Gran Guinigi in 2002.
