Born in Milan in 1953. After graduating in classic studies from the Accademia di Brera he attends courses at the School of Visual Arts of New York, then returns to Milan where he still lives and works as an illustrator. He currently works between Milan and Venice, where he owns a small studio-house.  If drawing, painting and illustrating are his life, his other half of the sky is music, passionately studying piano. He doesn’t consider music and painting as two separate and disjoined worlds, and relentlessly searches for an image reflecting sound, form and interior resonance. His work is selected on a regular basis by the major American Annuals of illustration and he has received awards both in the U.S. and Italy. Visionary Dictionary – Beppe Giacobbe from A to Z (publisher Lazy dog Press) is a monography of his work: the world classified per images.
